After graduating from University of Glamorgan Wales in MSc
Marketing I joined the Bank Alfalah family as a Management
Trainee Officer in December of 2006. To start with, I was
provided with 3 months of intense and rigorous training with
ample hands on experience at the training and development
centre, by a truly professional and experienced faculty.
This training was highly motivating and I was confident it
had set me on the right career path.
BAL offers its family members every possible opportunity to
grow sky high. I am of the opinion that benevolence is only
limited by an individual’s capacity. In Alfalah I found that
each and every individual is entitled to enhance their
expertise and put them to right use.
BAL not only provides you with a chance of diversified
growth but makes sure that you are guided in the right
direction so that your potential is not wasted. With the
helpful guidance of my senior colleagues I grew from the
post of a trade officer to Regional Team Leader in the
Quality Assurance division with in a span of 1 year.
I
took up the mantle of managing the QA division and according
to my peers and seniors have done a good job of it. To be
given the opportunity to gain experience in 2 diverse fields
in such a short span is unprecedented.
My advice to the fresh graduates thinking of joining BAL
would be. If you want to have a successful career at BAL or
any other industry you have to take up challenges and new
responsibilities. Put your best trait to its optimum use, if
you have good communication skills try and give
presentations at the highest level, if you are good at
number presentation prepare reports that set examples. To
have the best impact on an organization you should be ready
to dive into a challenge head first.
